In the Colonel Combes property, for example, each of the 12 shares is entitled to at least four weeks of usage. Two of the weeks are "Fixed", meaning that every year, the same weeks are used by the same fractional owner. If you purchase weeks 34 and 35, then you will always get weeks 34 and 35. Fixed weeks go in pairs, in general, so you are actually buying 2 weeks in a row.

The other two weeks are "Flexible". Their usage is based on a priority rotation basis: For the first calendar year, Fractional Share #1 – that’s the first share to be purchased -- will have first priority to select his/her flexible weeks for the following year. Flexible weeks can be chosen separately. Fractional Share #2 will have second priority. Fractional Share #3 will have third priority and so on. For the second calendar year, Fractional Share #2 will have first priority. Fractional Share #3 will have second priority and so on. Each calendar year, the order of selection will rotate in this manner until each Fractional Share has had first priority, after which the rotation will begin again.
Each year, there will be at least four or five Flexible weeks that have not been assigned for use by owners, which will then be available, first for maintenance purposes, then to owners on a first-come-first-serve basis.
For the calendar year 2007 only, the seller has committed to renting the Colonel Combes to tenants for certain periods during the year, which means that such periods shall not be available for use by owners. However, Management will strive to find a replacement solution, when possible.

Weeks can be exchanged as follows:
1. With other owners: This can be arranged directly between owners or via the management.
2. With other apartments from the Paris Pied-à-Terre properties, including our house in Provence and more to come: In this case, the week you choose to exchange will be rented out and whatever income we generate from it will be used to offset the already discounted cost of using our other properties.
